Štrigova sits at the heart of Upper Međimurje’s vineyard country. The regional Wine Road brings together around thirty family-run wineries in a remarkably compact landscape. Here, tasting is inseparable from place: the road climbs and falls through Sveti Urban, Železna Gora, Banfi and neighbouring hills, with vineyards almost always in view.

Pušipel is the signature wine name of the area. Expect freshness, bright acidity and a style that can move from light, youthful wines to more ambitious mature expressions. The wider wine landscape also includes Sauvignon, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat and other varieties suited to the continental climate.

Wine is not an attraction added to Štrigova. It is the landscape’s working language.
